Where this happens, and how you get there.

The coast, the airport, the transfer, and the one thing about this shoreline that most retreat sites will not mention.

The setting

Somewhere warm and quiet.Where the day is measured by the light.

Open water, slow mornings, and enough space that you stop checking the time.

Four days is not long.It is long enough here.

The specifics

Four answers, and one gap.

The property itself is still being signed. We would rather show you the gap than write around it.

Region
The Caribbean
Flat, warm, and on Central time.
Airport
Named on confirmation
It goes here by name before anyone is asked to book a flight.
Transfer
Arranged for you
Someone is waiting when you land, however late the flight runs.
Clearest season
November to March
When the sargassum is at its lightest along this coast. Ask and we will tell you which side of it your dates fall on.
The surroundings

These are pictures of this coast, not of the property. Those come when it is confirmed.

  • Palms leaning out over shallow turquoise water.
The walk down to the water
  • Loungers in the shade of a white umbrella on a wooden deck, palms and open water behind.
Somewhere to sit out the heat
  • A single palm leaning across a bright midday sky.
The middle of a day with nothing in it
  • Curtained daybeds beside still water at dusk, with palms behind.
    Where the afternoon goes
  • Low sun over open water at the end of the day.
    The last of the light
Getting there

The practical part, in four answers.

If something here is not covered, ask. Nobody has ever been charged for a question.

  • Flights

An international airport is within a straightforward transfer, and it goes here by name the moment the property is confirmed. Aim to land before mid-afternoon on the first day.

  • Transfers

Arranged for you. Someone is waiting when you land, however late the flight runs. Send your flight numbers once they are booked and there is nothing else to organise.

  • What to bring

Less than you think. Linen, swimwear, and something warm for the evening. Nights here are cooler than the forecast suggests, so bring one layer more than you expect to need.

  • Insurance

Worth having, and worth buying the day you pay a deposit. Hurricane cover only applies if the policy is already in place before a storm is named.

The standard

We choose the place for how it feels at six in the morning, not how it photographs.

Which is why the pictures on this page are of first light and empty sand, and not of a bar at sunset with a filter on it.

Every frame here is of this coast, not of the property

Where on the map

On the Caribbean coast.

About an hour from the airport. The exact address goes out with your confirmation.

The next step

Ask us where, and we will tell you.

The moment the property is signed, the people who have already written to us hear first, with the address, the airport, and photographs of the actual rooms.
